Can I sync my other email addresses other than @me.com?

I have signed up for the trial for mobile me.

The set up instructions are very un apple as their brevity makes it very difficult to set up.

I don't understand what this is suppose to do.

Can I sync my normal email addresses so they get pushed to my iphone using mobile me?

Or do I have to use just the me.com address?

I wish there were more comprehensive instructions on mobileme. The video tutorials are next to useless.

I thnk I need this as I want to be able to sync on teh road but I can't fathom what I am suppose to do/

This is not really a MobileMe issue, if your other email address can be forwarded to MM from whatever service provides them, then yes MM will push to your iPhone.

Idealy I would lime to be able to send an email from my iPhone using my pop
email and have it also shown up in the sent items on my iMac. I don't want to use the . Me address though.

I did a bodgy fix using mail rules as I added the email to be checked in the settings/ other but it's a bit messy .

Do I have to use the mac mail client as I would rather use entourage in mac office. I know I know but I've been using it for years.

I find apples documentation on me pitiful.

To forward another email address you would need to check with whoever provides that email service. For example, I have an old email address from my ISP Roadrunner and from their webmail page I can just tell all Roadrunner emails to MobileMe.

If you send an email from your iPhone using MobileMe, it will show up in the sent folder of your Mac mail program as long as you have it setup as IMAP.

I use Google Apps to host my domain name's e-mail. I forward all messages to my MobileMe account, and then a copy of the message is archived in Gmail.

Thanks. I've managed to forward my emails to mm now. For sending I select the correct from email which works BUT obviously it doesn't sync the sent emails with mm. I could cc the mm email but is there any way to sync sent email too????

Any mail you send with MM will be in the MM sent folder both on your iPhone and the client IMAP app on your desktop.

I'm not sure what you are actually wanting here, but it sounds like ignoring MobileMe is your best bet unless you need push email. If checking for email every 15 minutes (or manually) would work for you, than simply set up an email account that supports IMAP. POP3 does not sync between different clients.

In order to do this, your email provider would have to support IMAP. If they do, check for instructions from your provider on how to set it up as IMAP in an email client. If not, there are several free email providers such as gmail and aol that do support IMAP.
