I have an M2 Max MBP I want to trade in, but I already ordered my M3 Max CTO which delivers tomorrow. When purchasing online, I did not choose to trade in and paid full price for the device.

Is it possible for me to go to the Apple Store with my M2 MBP and ask for a refund for the trade in value towards the M3 device payment? Or am I going to have to ‘return’ the new device before I open it and go through the whole process again?

Thanks!

I would call Apple to see if you trade in the old computer (whether at the store or ship back to Apple) if you can apply the credit to the purchase of Mac your ordered.
