I know i can setup an alias of my APple ID as my main email address, that is, to send email from it by default
But can switch my Apple ID with it.

For instance
My apple ID is :
firstnamelastname @mac.com

and I have an alias like
f.lastname @mac.com.

Can I make the later my Apple ID somehow ?

Thank you

Wish there was a way to just completely disable my primary iCloud Mail address in the mail app. Since day one setting it up, I used a completely generic address - (first initial)(last 4 letters of my last name)@iCloud.com. And almost immediately started getting spam like 100s of emails per day addressed to someone with a completely different name. I unsubscribed to most of them, and maybe still get one or two per day, but it would have been easier just to use my custom domain alias address as my primary and only Mail address.
