Hi, all. Am eligible for an upgrade to an iphone with Bell. I travel quite frequently overseas, and want to unlock my Canadian iphone (likely the 3G) so I can pop in a pre-paid SIM when in Asia/Australia/Europe. I have heard that doing this means when I get back home, my old Canadian SIM will not be recognized.

Thoughts?

Thanks...but does anyone know if I will have issues when returning to Canada and putting in my old SIM? Will it be recognized without problems?

No issue. I'm with Fido (using unlocked iPhone) and travelled to Scotland where I used a SIM card from Orange during my trip. Came home and popped my Fido SIM back in, no problems whatsoever.
