Can I unsync an appletv remote without the original remote?

I brought my appletv with me to visit my parents but I forgotto bring my remote. My appletv is specifically synced to that remote because we've got multiple remotes at home.

I need to unsync the remote I don't have with me so I can use the appletv. Is this possible?

Remote app isn't an option as my appletv isn't hooked up to my parents' wireless. I need the remote to change the settings first. Argh.

Yep. Hold the menu and left arrow button for a few seconds. You should see a flashing remote icon up in the left-hand corner.
