Hey guys, wondering if I could update my iphone 4 (which is currently jailbroken on ios 6.1.3) to ios 7 (stock) without losing the ability to jailbreak it when the ios 7 unthetered jailbreak comes out. If yes, to what version of ios 7 should I upgrade?

Cheers

Use iFaith and dump your 6.1.3 blobs, that way you can always restore to 6.1.3

Currently, iOS 7 jailbreak isn't out but 7.0.4 should still be jailbreakable when it comes out but no one knows for sure until the jailbreak actually comes out

Thanks, I'll try that. Does my iphone need to be jailbroken in order to use iFaith?

No, you don't have to be jailbroken to dump blobs. It does need to be an iPhone 4 and under, which you do have

After iFaith dumps your blobs, keep the .ifaith blob somewhere safe on your computer
