Switch keyboards with the globe icon. You might need to allow full access in Settings/ General/ Keyboard/ Keyboards then select the Google one. I thought about the Google keyboard but since any keyboard is able to record keystrokes I didn't feel comfortable with that.I downloaded the Google Android keyboard but I haven't been able to figure out how or if I can make that my default keyboard. This is my first iPhone. I purchased the mini because I prefer a smaller, lighter, phone in my pocket.
I looked there but am unable to make it the default keyboard.Switch keyboards with the globe icon. You might need to allow full access in Settings/ General/ Keyboard/ Keyboards then select the Google one.
I downloaded that one. When I go to send a text message, I'm still stuck with the default iPhone keyboard.Microsoft SwiftKey
Thanks. Am I correct that I will have to click on the globe icon every time I want to use the other keyboard to text someone? That's to set full access. It opens whatever keyboard you had open last. Use the globe icon to switch between them till you get the Google one.
I don't. Are you just going to Messages then clicking the text message for the person you want to text? It just stays whatever one I hadThanks. Am I correct that I will have to click on the globe icon every time I want to use the other keyboard to text someone?
I even opened up Facebook and Safari and it popped up.I don't. Are you just going to Messages then clicking the text message for the person you want to text? It just stays whatever one I had
Ah ok thank you!Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. The press the ‘Edit’ button on the top right corner. You will then be able to drag the on list of keyboards (using the the horizon lines) to the arrangement you prefer. The one on top should be the default one.
I never knew this. Is it supposed to default to the top keyboard? Mine just sticks with whatever keyboard I used last 🤷♂️Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. I think that’s because you’re used to the Samsung. I haven’t used android in a while so when I have to do something on my friends Note 9 It takes me a little bit to figure out what to do. Now if you mean by user friendly as in customizable oh yeah android is in a different category. There’s so many different things you can change on android that you can’t on iPhone. On another note, my initial impression of iPhone is that the Samsung Galaxy is MUCH more user-friendly.
