Can i upgrade to a specific IOS version?

I currently have an Iphone8 with IOS 11.0.3 .. i wish to jailbreak my phone but the Checkra1n do not support this version of the IOS.. can i upgrade my phone to the IOS 12 or 13.2 so i can use the checkra1n to perform the jaibreak?

I heard that since the arrival of 13.3. is not possible to choose which IOS to install.

Actually, it's never been possible.

Over the years, jailbreakers have worked around this, but those workarounds stopped working around the time of iOS 6. It is still possible but you need two things: SHSH blobs for the version of iOS you want to go to and for the device to already be jailbroken.
