Can I upload pictures/video from a cell phone on my macbook?

I've never been able to transfer anything from my phone to my Mac with any cord, only by bluetooth.
No you don't need a cord, if the phone has bluetooth you can use that. Applications==>Utilities==>Bluetooth file exchange does it.
