Hi All,

I'm a forum newbie and soon to be macbook pro buyer.

I have MS Office 2007 Windows version so was hoping to not have to shell out for MS Office 2004 Mac. To use this I need to install windows and run bootcamp or parallels.

I have a recovery disk that came with my current Acer laptop. It includes the operating system plus other gadgets Acer preloads when you buy their laptop.

Can I use this recover disk to load XP onto a mac, or will I need a standalone copy of XP?

many thanks

What about the Windows cd that comes with a new computer that says not for resale or to make copies of. Is this essentially a full version that you can install on the Mac? Thanks.

No worries, thanks all.. looks like I will have to pick up a copy of XP on eBay.

Cheers.
