Can I use an Apple Gift Card as part payment to buy something from the Apple Refurbished store?

Does anybody know if you can use an Apple Gift Card as part payment for something in the Apple Refurbished store? I seem to remember reading something ages ago that said that you can't. I can't find anything now that says that you can't but I also can't see anything that says that you can.

Should not be a problem to use a gift card.

Only caveat is that gift card needs to be valid in country of purchase (ie. Need a US gift card for purchase in US).

In countries and regions where Apple Gift Card is available, you can use your Apple Account balance to buy products and accessories at apple.com or in the Apple Store app. In these countries and regions, your Apple Account balance includes the balance from any Apple Gift Cards or App Store & iTunes Gift Cards that you have redeemed.

Only time I’ve run into problems is when trying to add AppleCare to the purchase, would not let me sign up for monthly plan when using gift card for device purchase. But easily solved by doing purchase then doing separate sign-up for AppleCare.
