Can i use Google Now to start a Messenger call

Can i use Google Now to start a Messenger or Skype call? Biggest problem with Android for me is that i can't (or don't know how) to do that like i do on iOS. Call [insert name] on FaceTime audio.

Any suggestions?

Android already supports this via native apps but like iOS it does not support third party. That feature is coming with 6.0 if I understood the event correctly; or maybe its just a matter of the search app update.

As an example, I can tell it to start a hangouts video or call to xx and it will do just that.

No one i know uses hangouts.

No one i know uses hangouts.

It's preinstalled in every Android device. Android users just have to open the app and do the walk through and confirm their number and they're all set.

Works with Google Hangouts. Don't see why it wouldn't work with Google Messenger.
