Can I use the cable that came with my Magic Keyboard for iPhone back ups?

I am just wondering if it’s safe to use the USB-C to lightning cable that came with my Apple Magic Keyboard to connect my iPhone to my Mac and performed back ups and data transfers.

Or is that cable maybe not rated for data transfers and could be potentially unreliable?

It's just a standard cable, so yes it's compatible.

I have one of the old space grey extended Magic Keyboards, purchased in 2020 before they were discontinued. It came with a black cable that I have used for backups and other data transfers without issue. However, there's a curious thread that suggests the new Magic Keyboards are a bit different from the old ones. No idea whether this is could be a problem for you or not, but it's "interesting".
