How big is it? Well, each PSB file takes 10~30gb. Both Mac Pro 2010 and 2013 barely covered each file on Photoshop but Mac Pro 2013 shut down by itself several times due to overheating issue. Mac Pro 2010 was slow but at least it did a job but now 2~3 RAM slots are dead. Since I need to get a new Mac, I was wondering if iMac Pro can handle a big PSB file on Photoshop? Im just worrying about thermal throttle and overheating due to a small cooler from iMac Pro. I would like to try working PSB files on iMac Pro if it works but I dont have an opportunity to try it since I dont wanna kill their computers. Or otherwise, I would need a built a separate computer just for Photoshop which is around $1500. Still, As a Mac user, I really dont wanna spend money on PC.
If you have iMac Pro with Photoshop who can test it for me, let me give you some information:
1. Canvas size is 44X60 with 16 bit and 300ppi.
2. More than 30 JPEG files and they are upscaled to fit 44x60
3. ProPhoto RGB
4. PSB format
5. Hue/saturation, curve tool
