Huge fan of nplayer. I've been wondering this as well. I've been trying to find 4k/HDR content to tryDid you try it anyway in nPlayer? Curious as to whether it plays okay with software decode, it might suck for the battery but would be interesting to know if the GPU of the pros were up to the task.

When you say download locally, you mean the file has been dowloaded to your iPad or to your Mac?
Using the Plex DNLA server on my Mac and running Plex on my iPad Pro a 4K video plays just fine. Infuse doesn't list the video as a choice when the same Plex server on my Mac is the source. Plex does transcode, of course, since the iPad Pro display (2224 x 1668) isn't 4K.
