Hi guys,

I sold an iPhone (6S, iOS 12.1.2) with remote management in it. It is not icloud locked or anything and it lets me do all the setup steps, so I assume that it is fully functional as a normal iPhone
However, the guy that I sold the phone to came back to me, saying that my iPhone hacks his laptop, causing loss of data on his laptop and now he is fixing his laptop and asking me for a refund. He even claims he is a software engineer to gain my trust.

I am calling this BS since there is no way iTunes can take over a windows computer and even if his laptop is hacked (which I doubt), it can’t be from the iPhone since I don’t think the security of iOS could be bypassed that easily. My guess is, he changed his mind about the phone or was desperate for a refund.

But maybe that guy is telling the truth. Can someone elaborate on how a MDM iPhone can hack a windows laptop? Cheers

These scammers should really learn some more technical stuff before going about their business. It’s shameful.
