I want to use either iPhone or iPod Touch primarly for gaming. Can a jailbroken iphone or touch organize 10,000 games downloaded from itune into a nice folder in the home page of your iphone or touch?

If the 'Categories' app (or something similar) supports nested folders, then I think the # of pages isn't the issue - you just have to nest the folders / categories deeper. That doesn't mean that this is the only hurdle to clear, as you may well hit other limits before you hit 10,000 games on a single device.

That's pretty cool. 14 pages is not bad. I want either my iPhone or Touch to be the main showcase, not itune. When will Apple let us scroll up and down, and organize them into folder. Does Categories do this on jailbroken phone?

Yeah. I use Categories and only have 2 pages....EVERYTHING is in Folders

I use a combination of Categories and Stacks V3. The stacks I use for apps where I only have a few in the category because it's much faster to access than categories, which has a short load time.

I have all my games in a category though... Not even close to 10,000 though, that's a lot. But as mentioned, you could always nest them. Or use Stacks and Categories together.

Make a Category for each Game Genre then add each category to a stack. Then you'll just touch the stack and it'll pop up instantly with all your genres and you will be good too go!

you should check out categoriesSB..probably just as fast as stacks but you can put way more apps in each folder.

ORLY? Is that the new app that just came out in Cydia store the other day?

yea it was pretty recent. plus you can create way more folders than stackv3 could provide. of course its still in beta thats why. but categoriesSB is so much better. i uninstalled stacks after i got categoriesSB.

since you already have categories, just buy categoriesSB ($0.99). its like a plugin for categories.app. you can also create a folder call 'Recent' and it will display your most recently used apps.

creating the 3-4 extra page seem a lot of work. I think i'm just going to go with the jailbroken version. CategoriesSB.

I also saw an apps in another website that has a 7x7 springboard. the apps are compacted tightly. but it works for app-coholic. :D

Sometimes I wonder why Apple doesn't let us have these simple little thing. After all, it is our device now so what we do with it is up to us.

Sounds cool. Although I have 5 stacks already with Stacks V3. :D You just have to copy and paste the old ones and rename them to get more. Also, there's supposed to be a scrolling feature in stacks that have too many apps. I hope that gets implemented soon. It'd be nice to do away with my bulky category.

yea i was thinking that stacks might implement a scroll within each stacks BUT categoriesSB is already out and already have this feature. just thought to share it for everyone. PLUS you dont have to SSH anything to get extra folders/stacks...everything is done within the categories.app ;)

Yea, just checked actually and they already have scrolling :p Oops! I thought it didn't.

oh really?! in stacks v3 alpha 2? the last i tried it didnt let me fit more than 16 apps. but then adding apps in each stack is such a hassle. you gotta add the apps, then you gotta use sbsettings to hide the apps..and if you want to organize it, you gotta unhide the apps, delete from stacks and rearrange. seems like a lot of work.

Yea, you can edit the order and add apps by editing a plist file (I forget the location) so it wouldn't be too hard to put the ability to edit this in the settings for it... I just don't know why it hasn't been done yet.
