Evening all,

I've just set up an iPod Nano (the 3rd Gen) in an old JBL On Stage speaker for my mother, but she's struggling with those tiny Nano controls!

I have a spare Apple remote (from my MacBook) - can that be used with the Nano, or do you need a specific remote for iPods? All she wants is an easier way of moving through her songs, the volume controls on the speaker are fine.

Many thanks.

There is no IR reciever in the iPod. You would have to use the Universal Dock, but even then, I don't believe menus can be controlled.

Thanks TEG, looks like I'm going to have to buy a bigger iPod for her - oh well, she's worth it :)
