iPad mini Can mini 7 use mini 6 smart folios?

That's the question. They are the same size, and I don't think they did any degree of redesigning. Asking because the mini 6 smart folios have such better colors...

Yes, they seem to be identical.

Both the new one and the old one list both "iPad mini (A17 Pro)" and "iPad mini (6th generation)" under the "Compatibility" section.

I ordered the Charcoal Grey before realising the 6 cases are compatible, ordered Dark Cherry when I found out and it came today! Grey coming tomorrow and going back.

There may be mis-matched magnets in the case/ipad backing (because Apple), so just be aware that may come into play with 6 --> 7 accessories.

Well all the old colors are “sold out” so perhaps Apple is discontinuing them.

If I was upgrading I’d be going for the Dark Cherry. It was my favourite, but looked better on the pink or starlight iPads as the purple was too dark. That would be one advantage of the lighter shades.

Yes it should but don’t forget about Apple Pencil Pro because it had slightly different magnets compared to the Pencil 2 so I don’t know if it will attach to mini 6 cases but the lucky thing here is that the Mini 7’s camera hasn’t changed to landscape so there’s a chance the pencil pro will connect because of the new pro and Air

Yes I am typing this from my purple mini 7 protected by the Smart Folio from my mini 6.

ditto here... old black folio case on mini 6 now on new mini A17 Pro (7). No issues and Apple Store shows dual compatibility anyway if you take a peek there.

I love them both equally. Sometimes, I absolutely prefer the dark cherry…until I swap it for the electric orange which gives the Mini a whole different look/feel 🤩

Because of the above, I simply can’t envisage favouring one over the other!…1st world problems I guess 😜

Yes, the camera position hasn't moved which is the only reason the Air 6 can't use Air 5 screen protectors (or at least not if you want the best image from the front camera.)

I had that combo with the mini 6 but I went with with blue for the mini 7 and I’m using a spare white folio because the dark cherry is pretty beat up after three years and the white one was sitting in a box unused.
