Can minors wait in line too?

I am a minor (14), who will wait in line for an iPhone tomorrow at Apple Store Short Hills, New Jersey. My mother will meet me close 6:00 in line so she can pay with her debit card (Don't worry! I'm paying her back!). Does anybody know if Apple employees or security will approach me saying that I cannot wait because I am not of legal age to sign a contract (even though you activate it at home)? Or would someone have to wait the whole time with me?
 
i would find someone to wait with u, just in case. people are going to be in more of a frenzy rather then doing rational thinking.
 
I think it would be alright if you went by yourself. Make sure your mother is there on time though, so you won't be holding up the line at the front and saying "But my mom will be here in a minute; I swear!". ;)

Well I have been lucky when it comes to lines. Last October when Toys R Us was doing preorders for Wii, the list was filled when I got there. Despite my disappointment, I stayed to find that a man signed for Wii instead of his desired PS3 and gave me his spot in line.
 
make sure you tell the people that are waiting in line around you that your mom will be coming.

And make sure that know that your mom will be coming before the store re-opens and that you are clear that she is only buying 1 iPhone for you, and is not getting one herself (or if she wants to buy a second, make sure that people know that early on and are OK with it). People might be mad if she were to show up and buy multiple iPhones with no prior knowledge of that.
 
yeah. go 14 year old minors. wtf you're actually getting an iphone?! oh well. there's always christmas...
 
i'm 17 and i'm leaving to go camp out in about 2 or 3 hours

i hope they're not dicks about the whole curfew thing
 
As far as I've been told, iTunes will not allow minors to activate an iPhone/iPhone account in their name. If you want an iPhone, the account has to be in your mother's name.
 
you'll be fine, i did this with my Wii on nov 19, im 16 and i paid with a visa gift card, no questions asked, good luck, i hope to get my iphone in mid july
 
I'm 15 and getting an iPhone. I had to get the $550 myself though. If you were in a line for a PS3.. man. You (or one of yor parents) have alot of cash.

A Wii is not an iPhone.

Buying a video game console is not the same as committing to a two year legal agreement that's valued at at least $1,400 ($59 x 24 months). When iPhone asks for a social security number or AT&T credit check pass number (you need one or the other), it will reject you if you are under 18.

The policy stated by a couple of Apple Store employees (and a manager) is that minors cannot activate an iPhone via iTunes. (And according to the website, the only way to activate is through iTunes.)

You can, more than likely buy an iPhone (if it's in stock), if you're under 18. You just can't activate it as the primary account holder.
