I'd really appreicate any help from the experts here. I'm trying to figure out if my Mac Pro can read a 2 TB internal drive. Here's my mac here.

3, and 4 too. If yours can read a 5TB drive then please let us know where you got them :D
 
Not yet. :) But I guess the next significant platter density will be 1.5TB so likely we will all skip 5TB and see 6TB as the next up?

Definitely 6 would be nice, I've read on a couple sites that 5TB drives are expected later this year.

What, with 5 platters? Ouch! I'm scared to even use 4 platter models. I sold off all my 4TB drives and replaced them with 3TB drives even. :)

I would definitely avoid any 5 platter models unless they were low speed and I kept them off-line and powered down most of the time.
