Can no longer send or receive Pictures in iMessage on iMac

I can Message fine on my iMac with iMessage but I can not send picture files anymore. I can drag and drop and send them, but they never get through to other person and I don't see them as Sent on my iPhone or iPad.

This used to work 100%, just this last week it has stopped working for Pictures but I can still iMessage fine.

Software OS X 10.8.2 (12C60)
Any idea how to fix this?

Got it resolved, wow.

In the Messages Window menu open the File Transfer window.
Does it list any "Waiting" items ?

If so, go to Applications/Utilities and open the Activity Monitor and Find IMTransferAgent.
If it is running then Quit it (You may have to confirm a Force Quit)

If the waiting pics and files don't start downloading restart Messages

Mine say "failed" is there anyway to fix that ?
