i have the latest itunes...

i burn a regular audio cd....

i try to import it on a windows xp pc, and it doesnt import the song.

has anyone else done this but been successful?

Thanks

haha no i dont use windows....i burned a cd for a friend.

she can import it but what it looks like it does is import a shortcut to the song.

for expample it just flies through importing.

also when i view the cd through my computer it just displays "shortcut" like data.

i dont know what to say, ive never seen this before...

nice response...its 3am here...

import button and drag and drop.

the thing is im no dummy, im just stumped on this one. Im guessing its just Windoze...she all up to date iTunes wise too....

the thing is i am wondering if this is new to itunes to prevent piracy or is it just that specific computer?

has anyone burned a cd then imported on a pc?

I just tested this out on a PC and it worked normally.

We need to establish whether it's a problem with the burning process or the importing process. Can it import commercial CDs? Can CD players (and iTunes) play the tracks, even if they can't be imported?

If you can import commercial CDs then maybe try slowing down the burning process.

If you're struggling with all importing, then maybe look at the iTunes Preferences and ensure that Copy files to iTunes Music folder is checked in the Advanced section, under General. :)

Can you import MP3s from the hard disk? If you import the music in WMP, can you then add them to the iTunes library?

Sorry for all the questions but this has got me a little stumped.

i am going to check up on that and let you know.

before teh updates (5 and 6) i know i could import regular cds.

im going to take a better look when i am there agin and let you know.

Thanks for all the help!
