Can Not Restore iPhone 3g

Hi.
I got a serious problem with my iPhone 3g.
Two weeks ago i installed 3.0 Beta 2 and it was working pretty ok untill today.
I was writing an sms and it totally crashed. Showing a pink/purple display with the connect to iTunes sign.
Now i have tried to restore it many times even using XCode.
What is on it is not a problem to erase. But i get all sorts of errors when i try to restore it. iTunes tells me (in options) that i have synced backups from 5:th April and i cant find that file to restore from.
I have also restored it to the 3.0 Beta 2 file and choosen "New Iphone" in iTunes but still showing that i should connect it to iTunes and restore it.
What can i do? I really need to get it working soon.

It crashed because beta 2 expired, and it won't let you install beta 2 because it's expired. Go into your dev portal where you got beta two, and download beta 3.

Well i can not get the beta 3. My friend signed me up as one of his 5 invites to be a developer. Thats why i could get beta 2 but i cant get the beta 3. Anyone know how i get that ?
