Recently, i just partitioned my hard drive to make room for a windows side. Now that i need to re bootcamp it, i can not un partition the hard drive. It does not even show that there is 50 GIGs missing. I can not remove it through boot camp or disk utility. Apple told me that the only way that i can un do it is to reset my mac but that is not an option for me. If anyone could help me with this problem it would be amazing. Thank you, Tech Taco

Why are you running boot camp when virtualization is the way to go...OK, enough preaching. You may not be able to delete your windows partition through Disk Utility, in part because Disk Utility one of the worst utilities on the OS X platform -- it's completely useless. You'll need to work in the terminal -- check out http://apple.stackexchange.com/ques...a-bootcamp-partition-using-terminals-diskutil -- but before doing anything, back up your OS X partition (the OS X partition) with a disk cloner as Time Machine backups can be problematic.

May as well boot from that clone then use disk utility to firstly create a blank space entire drive partition then go with re-creating a new partition GUID scheme to clone back the install you are running from. Not only does that confirm the cloning worked it leaves you no way to mess up your running install plus you have bootable backup install once the machine is up and running again.
