I received a $15 physical Apple gift card. (the kind that they sell at supermarkets)

I redeemed it in my App Store account. Under my name, it how shows that I have $15 credit.

Can this $15 be used to pay iCloud monthly subscription fees? ($0.99/month for 50gb storage)

Thanks!

If it is a recognized payment method it WILL be used to pay for any purchases before a credit card is charged.

Yep. It will always pull your available balance before charging the card on file.

I just realized that I read it wrong. Apple's website said that "Apple Store gift cards" could not be used to pay for iCloud subscription... but I guess there must be another gift card for just the "Apple Store"? (which is different than regular "Apple gift cards" that are sold at supermarkets)

:)

Last I knew Apple is in the process of combining these. (Maybe already has?).

There use to be Apple Store Gift Cards and iTunes Gift Cards. Now, if I'm right, it's all the same thing. Hopefully someone who knows more than I do can come along and comment on this. :p

I just bought an Apple Gift Card at Vons last week and I'm using it to buy apps and pay my subscriptions. :p

I would say yes. When I topped up my app store account (which is basically the same thing), it was in order to pay for apple music and icloud. And that's what happens

They are being combined. Went through a good amount of training on the new combined gift cards

Love it! I used my $200+ balance to help pay for my watch. Love taking advantage of that % off when Apple offers it. I noticed Costco stopped carrying the cards - hopefully they get the new combined ones.

Very happy with how Apple is dealing with the Cash/Credit/Balance etc.

Great move by Apple.

I really wish there were an easy way to combine all of these at this time.

I have a gift card balance in Apple Wallet on my iPhone. I have credit in my iTunes/App Store account and I have an even larger chunk as an Apple Store credit. Some day I will use it all up but until then, it's pretty annoying to have to look at these as separate buckets.

Why do you think it took so long for Apple to have a combined gift card? Actually, why did Apple create 2 types of gift cards??

probably the same reason that it took 10+ years for Apple to "invent" widgets for iPhones? :) :) :)
