Hey, I was wondering if the power source you plug your computer into can cause HD noise. My imac has always had a fairly loud HD, it makes the ticking noises a lot of people in this forum complain about. But, I left town for 8 weeks so I took my imac with me, and to my surprise it stopped ticking completely. Then when I brought it back home it started up again right away. Maybe just a strange coincidence, but I thought i'd just ask anyway. If thats the case, I'm going to look into one of those power conditioners (I don't think thats the right name for it, I haven't looked at them for a long time). thanks.
