will it break the raid0?
booting with SL Disk trying to restore via disk utility
it states it may erase the raid.
it is a software raid0

how many of the bays are for the raid0?

if it is all four I would go about it a different way.


were you using the raid0 as your boot drive?

if you were do you have a clone of it?

I would not boot with the software disk so fast if all the trays are for raid0.
 
As the array is software based, it's likely to be destroyed (now if the image was done post creating the array, it may be preserved). BTW, the member count won't matter.

Regardless however, your first step is to make sure you've got proper backups before you do an OS installation, as you need to be prepared for the worst case (have to start from scratch and end with restoring the data to a newly re-created array).
