I just switched from Firefox to safari, and one annoying thing I've found is that when I'm watching videos in a tab, if I switch to another tab, it automatically pauses the video. I did a little searching on this, and every hit I found seemed to be focusing on YouTube, and I'm looking for a more general answer than that.
basically, I'll be watching a video of a certain nature, and if it currently isn't super exciting, I'll switch to another tab to read some news or something. If I hear something from the video that sounds interesting, I'll switch back to that tab. Works fine in Firefox. Not so in safari
