Can Sims 3 be played without the disc? I'm getting it in a few days and don't want to, if possible, bring the disc back to school with me..

Here is how you do it.

Actually, you insert the Sims 3 disk into your drive.. Then open Disk utility in Utilities... After that, click the icon of the sims 3 disk on sidebar in Disk Utility, then click "New Image" on the top of the window. By default the image format will be compressed, make it Read-Only. Then it will take a few minutes. It should work. SCREW THE LINK :apple::apple:

So by doing this I shouldn't need to have the disc in the disc drive in order to open/play the game?

Thanks for the advice!
