I haven't visited this forum since the first MB's and MBP's came out. I've been hanging out mostly over in the (Community Discussion) board and the (Politics, Religion, Social Issues) board.

Has the first MacBook revision come out yet? How about the MacBook Pro, what's happened with it? Has the new Leopard OS come out yet?

wow. um, ok. the first macbook revision came in november of last year. the processors were updated to core 2 duo and were recently updated again last month. you can check out those specs at apple's website beneath all the iphone hubbub. the big issue many people had with the recent update was that apple chose not to incorporate the santa rosa platform, thus retaining intel's integrated gma 950.

on the macbook pro side, they were updated this month. they are made with the santa rosa platform, include led-backlit displays and their specs can also be seen on apple's website. like the macbook, the macbook pro is on its second revision.

last, leopard is due in october.

don't mean to be rude but do you really need this forum to tell you whether leopard is out? or there's a new macbook pro? just visit the apple website and check for yourself.

It's an 800MHz PB Ti 15" so that would make it one model below yours I think.

It really does show that Apple makes fairly decent computers when you consider that you are running a unit that is a minimum of 5 years old.

Are you still able to run the software that you find necessary for whatever it is that you use the computer for? On my side of that question I am still able to run the latest version of the audio editing software (DAW) that I use and for the most part it runs fine. I am noticing far more spinning beach balls with the latest version but I still manage to get a full edit done.

I'm sorry for wasting your time.

I'm running 10.3.9 and it does very well for what I need. :)

"Oh, do pay attention M:apple:CDRIVE" :p

MrSmith. . . it's always a pleasure to see you. :)
