can someone clear this up for me? can I use YellowSn0w w/ simcard like 1-2 call?

I'm going to be moving to Thailand next month and I have a locked Iphone 3g (unlocked with yellowsn0w).

In Thailand I dont plan on getting a monthly contract with anyone, but buying a simcard from 1-2 call and programming in a number. Then i just buy more cards from 1-2call and type in the number on the back of the card for more minutes.

Will yellowsn0w work this this? I've heard numerous things.
