So I've been intrigued/reading about Quicktime streaming for a while, i.e. Quicktime Broadcaster and Streaming Servers and whatnot. But what I don't quite understand is the usage of the term "Quicktime Streaming Server." Is that like a network server, any machine designated "server," or is it your ISP's server?

I think I understand the steps, it's just the defining of some of the terms I don't.

Quicktime Streaming Server is the software that you run on your mac to deliver your stream to the internet. This is what people connect to when they wish to listen to a stream you have configured.
