Can someone explain the 1.1.2 Hack to unlock

Does anybody know if it would work if i got a new 1.1.2 iphone, downgrade by restoring in to 1.1.1. Then use the "SLIDE FOR EMERGENCY" dialing 307 hack to jail break it. After all that could I put ipsf on it.

Furthermore would DVD Jon's Phone Activation Server still work.
