iPhone Can someone explain the tweak "bars"

I usually get 3 bars in my room and now it shows I have 4. So in reality I've always have had 4 bars?

It's supposed to give you a more accurate representation of how many bars you actually have by showing half sized bars too. Normally a bar is shown even if only the smallest amount of signal is in that bars tier (sort of speak).

I used it for a while but I don't really see a need for it too much. It's pretty cool looking though.
