Can someone look in the files of macOS 14.1 for references to New Macs?

Greetings!

I have a friend who bought the M2 MacBook Air recently, and it gets to him in November.

I want to know if there are references to an M3 MacBook Air in macOS 14.1, so he can know to cancel the order now and get a refund.

Can someone look?

If there aren't, look for new iMacs, and MacBook Pros. If there aren't any, it is likely that they will be added in a different build of 14.1.

I don't know how to do this, but it would be nice if someone can tell me how I can do it myself in the future.

seems possible we'll see an M2 imac monday (october 30), or perhaps an updated M2 macbook? i doubt there will be M3 machines yet... but i was wrong once before, so... who knows. still, only 6 days away.

EDIT: ok, just saw the event title "scary fast"... so am now envisioning a halloween-themed M3....

Your friend can always return the laptop for refund or exchange. Why cancel order?
