I have several old Windows .chm files with technical documentation that I need for work. And because of that I have to carry my Windows laptop with me. But it would be great if I could open those on my iPad (so that I don't have to carry the laptop anymore.)

Can someone please recommend an iOS app for that?

PS. It would be nice if it supported index / table of contents (like .chm files do) and had a search capability (that I can use to search by a keyword.)

PS2. I searched the app store and it came up with a list of some shady apps that I'm kinda afraid to install. So I'd appreciate if someone could share your personal experience. Thanks!
