So since installing the iOS 12 beta, I haven't been able to get IPv6 to work on my iPad over a cellular connection. On WiFi it's able to obtain and use it just fine, but when I go on cellular it doesn't even seem to be assigned one.

At first I thought it was the APN (I have two to choose from), but that didn't make a difference. I then thought maybe my carrier (Rogers) wasn't allowing IPv6 on a tablet SIM. I tried popping it in to an Android phone I had kicking around and using the same APN I was using on the iPad it worked just fine.

I even tried it on my wife's iPad Mini, but it doesn't work. She is running iOS 12 as well though.

I'm wondering if anyone who has a T-Mobile SIM or another carrier that supports IPv6 can test. I submitted feedback when I was on the beta and obviously nothing was done about it, and now that I've updated to the GM the feedback app is gone (might still be able to access it on the web).

Thanks!

IPP 12.9 G2 LTE on ATT
When running on LTE you look to be correct, no IPv6 support.
Did the same on a backup iPhone 8+ on 11.4.1 and it does show IPv6.

:(

Hmmm that's annoying!

Thanks for confirming! At least I know it's not just a Rogers issue.

I'm going to try downgrading my iPad to iOS 11 and see if it works. It's weird how my iPhone X on iOS 12 works fine though.

AFAIK it's carrier-backend related. I use both VZW and ATTWS with my company, the latter roaming on Rogers when I'm in BC/AB. I get IPv6 with my VZW Air 2 or Pro, always IPv4 with ATTWS/Rogers when on cellular and generally IPv6 when on wifi with IPv4 on wifi when I'm at one of my field offices (CenturyLink DSL).

Don't have a phone on iOS 12 to test. But if the phone supports and the iPad does not .... that is strange.
