I was wondering if i could buy a MacPro and take off one of the two Xeon and put it in another pc box i have to buy. Later, i have more money available, i could put the xeon back in place and upgrade the pc to a newer xeon, making an upgrade of two machines with just a new CPU.

Any advice on that?

Thanks

95% sure it does. I'm sure someone bought one, and sold the other proc. on eBay for $600.

There was a thread about someone wanting a mid-range Mac Pro with one proc.
