Right...bear with me on this till I try and explain what Im looking for.

I'm currently djing in a club and every now and then I will hook up my audio output to my mac (using the line in) log onto ustream.tv, then broadcast my audio only (no-one wants to see my face whilst djing). I had been using a jb 3g phone for the 3G signal (Which worked fantastically).

Here's the thing....

I now no longer have the jb 3G, but have the iP4 which I have no interest in jb'ing. I also have an iPad with a fantastic 3G allowance (10gb per month for £15 UK)

Is it possible to route the audio into the iPad (I've just seen the iMic via the Camera Kit Connector work, so thats ok) and then broadcast it out live (similar to ustream - the ustream app doesnt work on the ipad as there isnt a video camera). I was just wondering if anyone knew of anything that could do this.....I would develop an app if I could, but I cant and I'm not remotely interested in learning now (i've too much stuff on my hands to even know where to start :) )

Cheers guys....

so on another board I found part of a solution:

Ok... This may work for you. You need these three components:

Griffin iMic USB Audio Interface
http://store.apple.com/us/product/TX532ZM/A?mco=MTY3ODQ5OTY

Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit
http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC531ZM/A?fnode=MTc0MjU4NjE&mco=MTc0Njk4NzU

Audio Cable
1/8 in./3.5mm

This is how I set it up to test if this would work, it does. Connect the USB Camera connecter to the iPad. Plug the Griffin iMic USB Audio Interface into the USB Camera Connecter. Plug a 1/8 audio into the Griffin iMic USB Audio Interface and the other end into an iPad nano... I used Memo Recorder free from the app store to record the audio..... Works no problem.

You might have to use a 1/8 audio with RCA on the other end, depending on the output connecter that is on the mixer.

still don't know about the streaming though
