Wondering if there is a way to make all video pass through the mini? If I get a hd antenna it'd be nice to have all options on the Mac so I'm not having to use another remote to swap between sources for the TV.

If you're trying to get data from an over-the-air TV antenna into the Mac, you'll really need a TV Tuner box for that. In the past, that would be easy -- you'd just need to get an Elgato TV Tuner, as they've made the best Mac TV tuners for a long time. However, they don't seem to support the US market any more. :(

I suppose something like the HDHomeRun device would be the best bet right now, especially as you can use the Elgato EyeTV software with it (which I think is still the best Mac TV software available).

But honestly, I think the easiest thing to do would be to just go ahead and use the TV remote to switch between your Mac and your antenna, as the TV does have a tuner built-in to it. :)

I do really like the Elgato EyeTv software from the looks of it. I'll see if maybe I can pick up a TV tuner on the open market. I live in the middle of Houston so I'm surrounded by stations

HDhomerun EXTEND looks to be the winner with full hd support and h264 encoding. Should make a nice little pvr too
