Can two SMS.db files be merged?

Assuming the sms.db file is a SQLLite database file, you could download some database tools and write a SQL script that would pull all records from the first file and insert them into the second one.

I wouldn't know where to begin, and honestly, it's not important enough to go through all that trouble.

I just wanted to know if there was a way to do it.

It sounds like that may be the case, it just isn't simple.
