Me again. If buy a clean (good IMEI etc) iPhone 7 that was sold for Verizon, can I unlock it and use it on my AT&T account? I'm not looking for one of those dumb "UnlockMeCodez.com" things either - if I call Verizon personally, and the phone is clean, will they unlock it?

I'm after resale value and a global phone, hence why I'm looking for the A1661 model.

Thanks!

Verizon phones aren't locked.

1. Per agreeement with the FCC for use of the 700mhz LTE spectrum Verizon MUST unlock all LTE devices out of the box.

If it's a Verizon LTE device it's sold unlocked. Period.

2. Don't know what this website thing is you mention, but Apple does not deal with unlock codes. You will never get an unlock code for an iDevice and there is no method to input one. What happens is that your iDevice checks in with Apple's iTunes activation servers periodically and when a new unlock activation ticket is generated it's applied to the iDevice.

No codes.
