Hi all

I noticed when my iPhone was connected to my computer I got or option to back up to my computer OR iCloud. Can't we do both?

I had a problem with my laptop a while ago which meant I was without it for a while. So for that reason I like the thought of backing up to the cloud. However, I would feel better having a local backup as welll.

Can this be done?

Since the selection is a radio button my suggestion would be to back up to iTunes and make a copy of it, then back up to the cloud. With all item items going to the cloud, I don't think a new local backup would be necessary very often. I'm also trying to get my head around backups to the cloud. I'm not ready to dive in yet.

You can manually backup to iTunes and leave the auto backup to iCloud. I've been doing that since early beta. iCloud overnight and manual weekly backup. Just right click on the device in iTunes and click backup :)

Perfect. I really couldn't work out how to do both and that's answered my question.

Thanks very much!
