Hi, I use the virtual keyboard and Apple Pencil 2. Often, the entire sentence got highlighted. It is very difficult to place the cursor at any position I want regardless of using the finger or pencil to do it. Can we get the left and right arrow keys on the stock Apple virtual keyboard?

Have you tried using two fingers on the keyboard and swiping them right or left? (If I’m understanding what you want to do,)

Thanks. I have just tried your method. Sometimes it works but sometimes not. In the failed case, part of the entered text is selected. Using the two fingers on the keyboard and swiping them right or left changes the range of selected letters. Pressing somewhere in the highlighted text or input box in safari does not get me out of the selected text but presents me with options like cut, copy, paste, translate, etc. How to get out of text selection (deselect) so that I could use your method to move the cursor anywhere I want?
Long-press on the space bar with one finger and then move your finger, you can move the cursor in all directions. I assume the pencil works the same.
Thanks. Don't know the reason but using the two fingers method seems to work better in my case.
