Can we trust this website for getting app to unlock the iPhone 3G

I'm in China now, and looking to get a couple iPhones from the local black market. Since there is no official iPhones here in China.

2 options

Hong Kong version iPhones no unlocking needed
US versions Needs to be unlocked but few hundred dollars cheaper! !!!

Don't pay for anything. The iPhone Dev Team will release a version of Pwnage that will unlock the iPhone 3G (and 2G) for free in due course.

well, i personally haven't hjeard of any unlocks for 3g 2.0 phones, other then teh simhack those brazilians did. No software versions yet, so, I would be a little fishy about it to be honest. You'd think if they actually _did_ manage to do it, there would be a ton more news coverage...

lol. local black market. that made me laugh (when i went to china, everywhere = black market, so i assumed thats normal)
anyway, if u need it urgently then buy a hong kong one. (i didnt know hong kong doesnt have sim lock 0_o)

but if u want to wait a few weeks, pwnagetool prbly will release a 2.0 unlock.

also how much RMB is it in china to get an iphone? (curiosity 0_0)

The ONLY way to unlock a 3G iPhone now is using a SIM card trick.

If I was you I would buy then locked and then unlock them for free with the devteam pwnage update when it happens... it will SAVE you money!

And I seriously doubt they are genuine as far as being unlocked goes!

anyway. yeah. dont bother buying. u can just download pwnagetool or iliberty or w/e and then unlock it urself.

if u want a 1.1.4 and below phone then iliberty, if u want a 2.0 unlock then pwnagetool.

i recommend not using ziphone. but thats prbly just personal preference.

LOL... i know.. i grew up here so my say is that Chinese ppl are cheap in a nice way so the demand makes the "black market" so huge

HK version is 8000+ for the 8GB and 9000RMB for the 16GB

US version I can get them for 5500/6300 for 8/16 from a good source LOL

eh.. hate to break it to u but thats a lil more expensive than US vsn.
US is 600/700 USD (no contract) so its only around 4100/4775 RMB.
