is it okay to give gift coupon to purchase ipods? Is there any difficulties? My friend has got a 100$ apple gift coupon.

Yes, you can use an apple gift card to purchase an iPod.

Make sure it's not a itunes gift card. I am pretty sure that is only for itunes purchases.
