Can you "blow out" the inside of the iMac 20?

Hello,
This is my first post to this or any Mac forum. I know that many of you have experienced overheating and lock up of your iMac's. After being thoroughly unimpressed with the level of abiltity of the Mac Geniuses (level one help desk people in cool t-shirts), I decided to research the issue on my own. smc fan control solved my problem. That being said, my iMAc ran perfectly for over a year and a half, prior to its starting to overheat, display numerous video anomalies and lock up. I wonder if it accumulated dust inside the unit. Now the big question...Is there any way to open the unit and vaccum/blow it out?

Possible, but not simple.

My early 2006 (white) iMac had a sealed cover shielding the monitor from the electronics. I upgraded the CPU and didn't notice much dust in the unit when I opened it up. Some around the Fan from what I can remember. I can't say if the aluminum iMac's would be any more prone to dust buildup.

I haven't been following the iMac forums much. I didn't know they had overheating issues.
