we dont have Rogers AT&T in my small canadian town.
but i was wondering if i could buy the iphone from apple
and just use it as a video ipod, and interent.:confused: :confused: :confused:
 
As of right now...no. Now a few weeks from now there will probably be a plethora of them on ebay and people will know if you can have any functionality without having the phone on the network.

This question has been answered hundreds of time, do a search. The iPhone requires a two-year ATT wireless and data plan to operate.
 
You can buy the phone with the contract and then cancel the contract and pay the fee. Then you can use it as an iPod. I don't know if the Internet features will work with existing WiFi. It would nice if you can use it for 2 of the 3 functions.
