can you delete old email contacts in iCloud

Is there a way to delete old email address’s from old contact you no longer use ? for example when composing new email and I put in the first letter like J I Geta list of email contacts I no longer use can you delete these ? in Hotmail when you do this you get a X to remove the contact .

I don't know if this helps but in Mac Mail, you can go to Window / Previous Recipients and there's a list there which you can remove entries from.

Is Mac mail the same as iCloud ?

I did it using some javascript code I found on GitHub. However, it only works with single contacts, not with groups (i.e. it removes suggestion for [ me@me.com ], but not for [ me@me.com, me2@me.com ]
